About Us

The Gloucestershire School FEAST Partnership offers a unique blend of practical cookery skills delivery with a wider understanding of the links with the food supply chain, procurement and nutrition. The Gloucestershire School FEAST offers: A purpose-built training centre at the Royal Agricultural College, complete with a commercial kitchen modelled on current best practice in schools. A strong local partnership, with Colleges supported by specialist advisors and stakeholders, committed to providing not only the core offer, but also wider progression routes for learners. Sustainability through proven local demand, with funded training courses being required by Gloucestershire and Wiltshire County Councils and Swindon Borough Council to cover approximately 500 people in the first year, Delivery of a high quality introductory courses provided by Ashlyns Organics Ltd. regarded by many as market leaders in the field of practical skills training for school cooks. Strong links into the supply chain with food procurement. The RAC has long-established connections with the farming community, both nationally and internationally, and through its academic departments, can support wider knowledge of food sourcing and nutrition. Strong customer focus, with an understanding of the school food sector and a flexible approach to developing courses to complement the core offer and reflect the needs of employers and learners.
