We work in partnership with Southend Borough Council to provide training for schools meals assisants from NVQ level 1 to NVQ level 3. We currently lead the NOVA Partnership of 14 training providesm with an £8 million LSC contract. Partnership working has been reconised as a strength of the college. Whilst we are not planning to work with the partnership immediately we would expect to involve other providers in the NOVA Partnership over time. ,
About Us
South East Essex College is proud to be a Lead Partner for the East of England School Feast Network. We actively promote healthy eating and have a wide range of experience in delivering flexible training to suit all learners’ needs within the School Feast Network, from short one-day nutrition courses to full NVQ programmes at Levels 1, 2 and 3. We are happy to provide bespoke training for your organization and provide students with on-line tutorials and portfolio building. We are situated in a modern, landmark building with up to date, purpose built, training kitchens and a highly qualified team of professional Chefs who aim to be your first choice for catering training. We have a successful track record delivering training for School Meals providers for Southend on Sea Borough Council and our Hospitality provision was graded as outstanding in the latest Self Assessment Report. This has subsequently been validated in the recent Ofsted inspection (May 2008). We are handily located in central Southend, with Southend Central Station on our doorstep. We have our own underground parking and we are easily accessible from all the main routes into town. This will make it easy to access our facilities, training programmes and workshops.
