About Us
Worcester College of Technology (WCT) will be the sole organisation responsible for meeting the criteria of the school FEAST centre. There will be no other partners involved. However, Worcestershire County Council, Herefordshire County Council, Shropshire County Council, Heart of England Fine Foods, Class Catering and Shire Services will act as stakeholders. WCT is a general education college situated in the centre of Worcester. WCT has a dedicated CoVE for Chef Training The recent AAV upheld the School of Hospitality’s Self Assessment Report (SAR) of a grade 1 (outstanding). The School of Hospitality offers programmes of study from Foundation/First Diploma level to HND/Foundation degree level. Part-time provision included BIIAB National Certificate for Licensee’s, Work Based Learning students, Food Safety, First Principles and Foundation Health and Safety for the School of Employer Training and Enterprise. It consults on a regular basis with industry regarding course provision and content. The School has a dedicated Work Based Learning team, with staff interacting with industry on a daily basis. At present two contract caterers, who provide a School Meal service, are currently registered on this scheme. The School of Hospitality has a long and successful record of working with the appropriate awarding bodies; The Chartered Institute for Environmental Health, City and Guilds, BIIAB and Hospitality Awarding Body. The School of Hospitality also has an excellent working relationship with the University of Worcester.
