About Us
The North East of England School FEAST Partnership comprises of two colleges and three local authorities. City of Sunderland College (lead partner) and Gateshead College, are working with Sunderland City Council, South Tyneside Borough Council and Gateshead Borough Council to provide high quality training to the school food workforce within the three local authority areas. Working together to provide quality training, is something that has been going on within the partnership area for a number of years. It is something which has already seen partners gaining national awards for training excellence. However, the partnership aims to take its training beyond the school food workforce. It intends to use a mobile catering training facility to take healthy eating and basic cookery training to the wider community. By taking a holistic approach, and working with the wider community that influences children’s eating choices, the partnership aims to maximise its training impact.
